Model 86 Drum Lifters

Morse Model 86 Drum Lifter attaches to your monorail, crane or chain block and transports a loaded drum in upright position. The drum is secured into the saddle by a ratchet and pawl mechanism and is supported by a bar at the bottom of the drum. This ensures that your plastic, fiber or steel drums will be transported safely with no chance of sliding out. No tools are necessary. Once loaded, the unit carries the drum without tilting it. Each Model 86 is load tested and factory certified at 125% of rated capacity as per ANSI B30.20. Handle steel, plastic or fiber drum with diameter 22" to 23-1/2" (55.9 cm to 59.7 cm) and heights 23" to 38" (58.4 cm to 96.5 cm). Model 86 also accepts Morse 55/30 Series Adaptors for smaller drum down to 15.5"(39.4 cm) diameter. This unit has a capacity of 1,000 pounds (454 kg).

Model 41 Drum Lifter Hook

This Drum Lifting hook is made with an alloy steel lifting ring, steel rods, heat treated iron hooks for toughness and wear resistance. This unit can lift horizontal 55-gallon (210 liter) steel drum, 34" to 36" (86.4 to 92.4 cm) longand can handle a 1,000 pound Capacity (454 kg).

Model 41M Drum Lifting Hook

This item is similar to Model 41, but the lifting ring and hooks are spark resistant aluminum / bronze alloy, and rods are stainless steel. It also has a Capacity of 1,000 pounds.

Model 42 Drum Lift Hook

Model 42 is a heavy-duty drum lifter for use on hoist hook or fork mounted hook. It is made with a pair of forged hooks for engaging rims at opposite ends of drum. A pair of alloy steel lifting rings provides for two modes of lifting.

1. Horizontal Mode enables simple moving of drum without changing the horizontal orientation. Utilize the lifting ring at the middle of assembly.
2. Off-Vertical Mode enables transferring drum from upright to horizontal and vice versa. Use to place drum onto Morse 5154 or 300 Series Drum Rotator. Also allows you to lift horizontal or vertical drums to have it hang in off-vertical position. Lift by ring on the outer end of the alloy chain (first place rod-end hook under bottom rim of vertical drum). As drum leaves the floor, it tilts to off-vertical attitude. Lower drum onto rim and guide to your choice of horizontal or vertical position.

Model 42-G Drum Lifter Hook

This item is similar to Model 42, but has a hot dipped galvanized finish providing a tough, rust resistant, long life in industrial and marine environments. It also has a maximum capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Model 90 Verti-Karrier

This unit automatically grabs and releases a closed steel drum, and picks or places the drum on a pallet. This advanced lifter is based on the original Morse patent. Attach the Verti-Karrier to your hoist, move the karrier to the drum, and then lift. It grips automatically and releases its hold only when the drum is put down. The operator only needs to guide the it into position. Handles closed, standard steel, 55-gallon (210 liter) drums, with a tighthead or removable top with lid clamped on.

Model 91 Lift for Drum or Overpack

Morse invented this lifter for placing a steel 55-gallon (210 liter) drum into an overpack or salvage drum. It can also be used to move a steel overpack drum. What makes this lifter effective and simple to use is its carefully designed ice-tong-like geometry and broad faced, thin profile grippers. The broadness of the grippers spreads the holding force to minimize pressure on the drum. The narrow profile enables it to lower the drum completely into the overpack. Model 91 can be used to lift and move a closed steel salvage drum. Model 91 is load tested and factory certified at 125% of rated capacity as per ANSI B30.20. This unit handles 55-gallon steel drums into overpack and a 85-gallon (325 liter) steel overpack.

Model 92 Drum Lifters

This unit has self-adjusting tong-like action to automatically grip various common types of closed drums. Slim-profile grippers enable lowering drums into overpacks... place 30's into 55's, or 55's into 85's. Note: Rim must be within 1" of the top of drum to be lifted. Drum lid must be properly secured. Do not exceed drum manufacturer's packing limit. Each of the 92 Series is load tested and factory certified at 125% of rated capacity as per ANSI B30.20. It handles steel, fiber, or plastic drums, with 18" to 26" (45.7 to 66 cm) inside diameter. Including 30, 55 and 85 gallon steel drum, lever-lock fiber drum, and rimmed plastic drum. This unit has a maximum capacity of 1,000 pounds (454 kg).

Fork Mounted Hook Attachments

Model 284 Fork Mounted hook slides right on to the fork to enable use of Morse below hook drum lifters. This model only includes the slide. It is designed to be used with Below-Hook attachments. This item by itself cannot lift drums.

The fork opening is 5.5" x 1-9/16", which fits most fork lifts. This item can handle a maximum capacity of 2,000 pounds (909 kg).
